Toddler
Our Toddler program is a wonderfully fun and exciting classroom that warmly invites the little ones in to play, discover, and explore in a safe yet stimulating environment that sparks their imagination. Here, they will have the delightful opportunity to engage with a wide variety of educational and fun-filled toys that not only entertain but also thoughtfully encourage age-appropriate development and learning through playful interactions. In the toddler classroom the educators will teach the children more independence like feeding themselves, sitting in their own chairs and washing their own hands. The toddlers learn to listen to 1-2 step directions and follow through with minimal guidance. If your toddler shows signs of readiness to potty train the educators will support you and your child in this transition.
Our toddler program is designed with a maximum capacity of 15 toddlers, ensuring that each child receives the care and personalized attention they need during this important stage of growth. With a ratio of 1:5 educators to children, our enthusiastic toddler staff consists of qualified professionals, with over 25 years of valuable experience in the field of early childhood education.
Daily communication with parents is a high priority for us here at King Academy. We foster this connection through Lillio (formally HiMama), an app that allows our staff to update parents with essential information about their child’s eating, drinking, sleeping and diapering needs. This feature enables parents to receive updates throughout the day, creating a seamless flow of communication. Moreover, parents and educators can directly communicate with each other through the app, ensuring that everyone stays connected and informed about their child’s progress.
In our toddler program, the children will start to learn their colours, letters, and numbers through engaging activities. The toddlers will have the opportunity to explore creative outlets, sensory experiences, science explorations, music, and movement in a fun and engaging way. The children are encouraged to embark on explorations both inside the inviting classroom and outside in the wonderful world. Our program allows for the little explorers to spend a blissful 2 hours a day outside, either playing gleefully in the playground or enjoying community walks to explore the vibrant neighbourhood around us.
