Infant
Our infant room reaches out to the individual child by helping them thoughtfully explore their surroundings in a nurturing and stimulating environment. A diverse variety of engaging activities and educational toys are offered to encourage the essential development of both gross and fine motor skills. As young children embark on their journey of discovery, they will not only learn a new language but gain the confidence to crawl and walk, all with support from a range of crafts, and captivating music and movement. They benefit from pull and push equipment, as well as a variety of other safe toys designed to spark their curiosity and delight.
Our infant program is designed with a maximum capacity of 10 infants, ensuring personalized attention and care. We maintain a ratio of 1:3 educators to children, with the exception of a 10th child. Our dedicated infant staff members are qualified professionals, boasting over 10 years of invaluable experiences working closely with young children, which allows them to provide quality care and support.
Daily communication with parents is a high priority for us here at King Academy. We foster this connection through Lillio (formally HiMama), an app that allows our staff to update parents with essential information about their child’s eating, drinking, sleeping and diapering needs. This feature enables parents to receive updates throughout the day, creating a seamless flow of communication. Moreover, parents and educators can directly communicate with each other through the app, ensuring that everyone stays connected and informed about their child’s progress.
Our infant program thoughtfully implements an array of activities each day, such as art, sensory exploration, language and literacy development, cognitive challenges, and engaging activities. Our little ones also enjoy vital outdoor experiences for a minimum of 2 hours each day, These opportunities vary from safely utilizing our fenced playground to going on neighbourhood walks in strollers, allowing children to immerse themselves in the world around them while staying active and engaged.
